Job Classifications:


Laboratory Director: Applicant must have bachelor’s degree in either chemistry or biology and a minimum of five years experience in an environmental laboratory. Good communication and managerial skills a must.

Laboratory Supervisor: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in either chemistry or biology and minimum of 3 years experience in an environmental laboratory. Must be able to supervise and work well with others and operate/maintain scientific equipment

Chemist: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a degree in a science related field with a minor in chemistry plus one year of experience working in an environmental laboratory. Person must have good laboratory skills and demonstate an understanding of basic analytical concepts and safe laboratory practice.

Microbiologist: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology or a degree in a science related field with a minor in biology plus one year of experience working in an environmental laboratory.  Person must have good laboratory skills and demonstrate an understanding of basic analytical concepts and safe laboratory practice.
Biologist: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in biology or a degree in a science related field with a minor in biology. Person must be able to do field work and have a valid driver’s license.

Lab Technician:Applicant must have a B.S. or B.A. degree in either chemistry or biology or equivalent laboratory experience.

Glassware Prep: Applicant must be able to multitask and work safely in a laboratory environment. Any science background is helpful but not necessary. Person must be well organized and prompt.

Accounts Receivable: Applicant must have an accounting background either through education, experience, or both. Person must be familiar with Quick Books accounting software. Some duties will include generating monthly bills, organize and make deposits to the bank, apply payments to accounts and monitor aging accounts. Must be well organized and able to work with a deadline.

Receptionist/Mailing Clerk: Applicant will have good social skills in order to greet customers and determine their needs. Responsibilities will include answering phones, receiving payments, and mailing out reports to private customers, companies, and state agencies. Person must have adequate knowledge of Microsoft Access and Word.

Data Entry: Applicant must be familiar with Microsoft Access and Excel. Computer experience is a plus. Some of the duties include inputting data from log-in sheets, handling of chain of custodies, and scanning/editing errors that may arise. Person must be able to work well with others.

Shipping and Receiving: Applicant must have knowledge and experience with the on-line UPS systems and technology. Some responsibilities will include packing, sealing, prepping and labeling containers/samples for our clients, filling bottle orders for our large customers, and keeping an accurate and up to date inventory of supplies. Person will also support Log-in. Must be able to work with others and lift 40 lbs.

Log In: A Chemistry background is helpful for this position. Applicant must be detail oriented and well organized. Responsibilities include transfering information from customers for data entry, organizing samples and recognize holding conditions and turn around times, and being able to correctly figure out the clients needs. Person will also help out in shipping.
